Are you ready for BALANCE 101? It doesn't matter, because your STRANDS are! Get ready for the balancing act your hair has been waiting for.
Bottom line. Forget your hair texture. It may be fragile, broken, overly course, curly, too fine, yada, yada, yada. The deal-e-o is as follows: We all want the same thing regardless of our current hair "situation." We want soft, we want shiny and we want BOUNCY! Hair commercials frustrate the heck outa the public. They tease you all into thinking, "wash-n-go, get THIS hair!" No, no, no! Do not wash-n-go. If you're a wash-n-go type of gal or guy, I've got another blog for you, another day. Okay, back to basics. Back to BALANCE.
Your hair has texture. Your hair has type. Figure out your texture. Figure out your type. Texture being course, straight, fine, blah, blah, blah. Type is oily, dry, or confused. Confused is when your hair doesn't know what it wants to be...so it's oily at the scalp, dry at the ends (:
Golden rule of BALANCE: Do not focus on texture only or type only! For example, if your hair texture is FINE/LIMP and your type is DRY, you need balance. By fine textured I mean stuck-to-yo-head looks like you've got the hair of an infant. Problem is this. You want bounce, maybe even extra volume. don't go out and buy the entire line of Paul Mitchel Extra Body products! You'll be neglecting your thirsty hair, creating a brittle and crispy, helmet-type WIG! The proper balancing act would be as follows: Sebastian volupt shampoo and conditioner. Here's where balance comes in. Use Whipped Cream by Sebastian from the mid-shaft down. Volupt spray at the root for an extra sexy-do. Whipped cream is a bouncifyin' cream whip loaded with super light conditioners. It's perfect for the fine textured hair types...it allows hair to be soft, shiny and smooth while still having BOUNCE. Bouncy locks rock because bouncy means HEALTHY! Do it (:
Here's the icing on the cake, the cherry on the sundae and the chip of the cookie! Whatever texture you have, start with the shampoo and conditioner that will benefit. Follow with 1-2 products MAX that will cure your type problem-o's! Shampoo is the foundation/base of your DO. It must be nurtured (: You'd be surprised how madly you can fall in love with your hair, regardless of your "situation." Hate your hair cut? Balance saves. Try it. Love it.
...featuring random smatterings of poetry. Easy and fun hair tips that any and all girly-girls can play with! Boys are welcome too. Skin care advice for pimple-faces and even the lucky ones with a natural glow! Celebrity gossip might find it's way in from time to time, and my silliness will not fail to appear. Fashion! I love the song by Lady Ga Ga, but I must disagree. It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it. Read. Learn. Wear. LOVE (:

Waxing, Shmaxing! A beginner's guide to a FAB waxing experience.
Pretty much everyone and their hairy mother can benefit from waxing! Who doesn't want smooth skin MINUS unsightly body hair? Waxing also exfoliates the skin, leaving it soft to the touch. Betcha didn't know that (: I even recommend waxing areas of the body that don't have hair. After waxing these already hairless areas, apply a moisturizer like Eucerin and your skin will be softer than...you know it! A baby's boo-TEE. It's important to use a GOOD moisturizer. Eucerin is one of my faves! It's recommended by derms and medical estheticians (like me!) EVERYWHERE. It doesn't have all that unnecessary garb that a lot of lotions contain.
To wax, or not to wax. That is the question!
Waxing rules. Hair grows back finer, softer and MUCH more sparse! All of this happens overtime, along with it becoming less painful! Pain is beauty, but how awesome is it when beauty becomes painless? That's right, it's what dreams are made of (:
When it is not okie-dokie-smokie to WAX. Read. Learn. Love your (hairless) skin.
Sun burned? Don't wax! Broken out (acne)? Step away from the wax (: After that burn fades, and those pimples go bye-bye, WAX.

Blog #1 is Fresh, Fresh, FRESH!!!
Let's talk about what I know, let's talk about hair! Summer's over. Dry hair will follow shortly! Moisture. Got serum? Leave in conditioner? If the answer is no, invest! My fave combos are as follows!
Next! Paris Hilton thought the coccaine that Las Vegas cops found on her was chewing gum! That's hot.
Fashion. It's what I love. If and when I get rich, clothing will dominate my life (: My style mainly consists of uber girly, retro style dresses combined with funky/fun shoes/sandals. Rompers rule too! What's better than looking optimally stylish while also being comfy!? That's right, nada! Leggings. I have so many, that at times I get overwhelmed. Leggings here, leggings there. Leggings everywhere. Pair them with ballet flats and a super girly, long top, and you've got a stylish look that can take you anywhere! Do it (:
First blog down, gazillion more to go. Read, Love.
- For fine textured hair, Visible Changes Techna brand Shine-E serum from mid-shaft down combined with Sebastian Volupt spray at the root area. Just a dab of serum will do! If a bit more volume is desired, substitute Shine-E for Sebastian Whipped cream or Sebastian Mousse Forte. Work those roots, bay-bee (:
- For medium textured hair, hydrate those locks with some serious conditioner! Leave in, of course. Paul Mitchell The Conditioner will never fail you! Again, mid shaft down. This can work as a base for your fave volumizing or smoothing product! Give those roots gravity-defying lift with Shuga Directional Volumizing Mousse. It's got enough hold to sprusse up even the heavier hair types. Go on, girl, get it!
- For courser hair types, condition and shine will do you right! Leave-N by Visible Changes Techna brand will give you a shot of pure moisture, follow with Shine-E. The Super Skinny line is a go-to for this hair type also. De-frizz. De-funk. Fabulize (I just made up that word).
- Curly hair, I did not forget you. Super Skinny by Paul Mitchell is your best friend. BFF, actually. Use it, and I don't mean sparingly! Relaxing Balm, Straight Works and Skinny Serum. Combine em', all at once! Slather it on, and blow those locks dry! Oops, I mean hydrated (: Good-bye lackluster, hello soft shine!
